Rotation question

O.K first off, new to the forums, but have been reading them for a bit. The pre-raid equip list has helped me a lot.

Now onto the question. I have read the post about rotations. And for unholy I have been trying the PS>>IT>>BSx2>>SS>>UB>>SSx3.

This is where I run into a problem by the time we reach the SSx3 should they be off cool down yet? Because for me cooldown is only about 2/3 done (3 or 4 secs still to go) after hitting UB for the 1st SS.

Does this seem right or should SS be up and ready after hitting UB. If it's not right then what the heck am I missing?

From what I hear, haste might be it. If you have too much, you are literally outpacing your cooldowns. Similarly, it might be too little haste, as I hear it helps reduce GCD after casting things like Icy Touch.

Also, it is normal to have a little downtime in between a rotation, as long as is it not major and can be filled in with a non-rotation ability (Horn of Winter? It does generate 10 runic power) or can be filled with melee. But if you are still having a long time in between (3 or 4 seconds) there might be a flaw somewhere in there. Maybe put the first SS before the BSx2? Experiment and see.

On another note, are you using Unholy Presence?

Also make sure your not dpsing in Unholy aura, Blood aura should always be used or yes you will find yourself waiting on rune cds.
Thats until 3.1 then UH aura will increase rune cd so should be intresting to see what the better presence will be.

Thanks for the answers. I'm always in blood when dpsing so it's not that. It could be the haste issue, definately not too much, but could be too little. I'll play around with it some more and see. I'll find a dummy and practice there when I don't have to worry about whats going on in the fight and focus on what works.
