Just did the theater of anguish "champions call (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=12974)" quest for my de-raged waraxe (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=41816).
Here is a little info about it:
First off, you get the quest at 75 from a guy in the Dalaran sewers. It is a "ring of blood" type quest where you get lots of gold, exp, and a nice weapon upgrade from the last boss.
We 3 manned it with the following setup:
- Me 75 blood DK, tanking
- 79 prot paladin healing (yah prot, i know)
- 75 Mage
The first 3 fights were fairly easy. Just save your CDs until your healer starts to struggle, and keep any adds off your friends.
Korrakk the bloodrager (red troll) was a little tougher due to his enrage at the end. It took us several tries to beat him. In terms of strategy, save all your CDs for when he enrages.
The final boss vladoff the butcher took a few tries. Target his mount first (because you cant reach boss with melee). For some reason he kept charging our mage and 1 shotting him. It seemed like he automatically charges the second person on aggro list towards the beginning. Our mage just had to keep running back each attempt.
What really helped was, as soon as he dismounts, the tank should jump on the mount. DPS using the mount and keep your taunt in case you lose aggro. When the mount was very low I jumped off because I read he can despawn and break the fight if he dies. After jumping off the mount he was at about 40% and we just dpsed him down the rest of the way.
Hope this helps! I'm happy to have my axe now! Its an upgrade from frozen axe of death, and it looks better too :)
