No, not really but by the time you get up in level a lot of better weapons become available, but if that's why you want a DK more power to you:D

I would say those 2 weapons was an bad example.

First of all Apolyon is from Kil'jaeden and i don`t think some1 will even raid that just for that weapon since you will get better later.
Secondly the Brutal Greatsword is no point to get either since you wont mostly not be able to do any arena anymore at lvl 70.

Hey, your death knight is your own and your reasons are equally as unique. If you want to make a DK, get him to 80 and then walk around wearing nothing but starting items, or twink gear, or anything you find amusing, go for it. WoW is just as much about showing off as it is raiding and pvping.
